A buried bag of stolen cash. A newly built school gym. And a convicted thief who’s suddenly a teacher.
With no better plan, ex-con Zeki Müller goes undercover as a substitute teacher at Goethe Comprehensive School – and the German education system has a new problem: the most badass teacher it’s ever seen.
While digging for his loot at night, Zeki unintentionally becomes the unlikely role model for Class 10b, a group of chaotic teenagers in desperate need of direction. His tough-love teaching style shakes things up fast – including for trainee teacher Lisi Schnabelstedt, who keeps urging him to act responsibly… without realising she’s falling for him. As Zeki rediscovers his last traces of morality, the chaos begins to shift.
The show opened at the WERK7 Theater in Munich, produced by Stage Entertainment, and received eight nominations for the German Musical Theater Award – winning Best Musical.
